Former Green Bay Packer wide receiver Donald Driver visited Wileman Elementary School in Delavan June 1 as a reward for the school collecting the most donations for Goodwill Industries Pack’er Up Challenge.
Students from East Troy Middle and High School took ordinary sidewalks in the downtown square and created works of art. East Troy celebrated the first "Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival" on May 5. With a canvas of cement and brushes of chalk, the students expressed their inner artistic creativity.
The inaugural event is a collaboration between the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation and the Wisconsin Main Street Program "to showcase unique historic and cultural assets of Wisconsin downtowns," according to a WEDC news release. The organizations hope to get residents and visitors to explore their communities, learn what's new and discover the established places that they might not have checked out before.

Members of the Lauderdale-LaGrange Fire Department are raising donations for its participation in the American Lung Association's Fight for Air Climb on March 19, where the group will be climbing 1,034 steps through 47 floors of the U.S Bank Building -while wearing 50 pounds of turnout gear.
The team trained in the stairwell at Wells Hall on the UW_Whitewater campus.
