The Washington Post reports Europe is experiencing marches in honor of Nazi units that were responsible for killing thousands of Jews. In 2019, the memory of the Jews is being violated and Holocaust erasure raises questions as to who will stand up for Holocaust victims.
The USA Today reports carbon dioxide levels peaked this past May at record levels. An observatory in Hawaii has indicated carbon dioxide levels averaged 414.8 parts per million in May. The rate of carbon dioxide is accelerating and scientists feel there needs to be a rapid decrease of carbon dioxide emissions. Too many of us are in denial of climate change.
Then there are the immigration issues. Newspaper articles state since December 2018, at least five immigrant children have died who were in detention centers run by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Children have been separated from their parents. It isn’t difficult to believe our president and other politicians believe only white people are important. Where is our sense of civility and what has happened to our soul?
